| ELGIN TRAILERS TILT 'N SLIDE MAKES IT EASY TO GET ON THE ROAD When you want to load small-wheeled equipment on to your trailer, a tailgate can get in the way when the hump at the top of the ramp catches the underside of the equipment. Elgin Trailers Tilt 'N Slide has the solution. Its unique 7-degree loading angle makes it easy to load forklifts and other equipment on to the deck. Even a Greyhound bus can climb aboard without a snag. The Tilt 'N Slide incorporates the low loading angle in its single-piece 42-foot long lower deck design. The Elgin Tilt 'N Slide trailer comes in standard 35 ton and 50 ton capacities and is 102 inches wide. The smaller capacity ETS 35 trailer is ideally suited for haulers of light rental equipment or towing companies who want to load several vehicles on to the deck. Its perfect for moving cherry pickers and skyjacks, battery-operated equipment with small tires. The larger capacity ETS 50 trailer gets the job done when you want to haul heavy equipment with a short wheelbase. Its ideal for forklifts and rigging equipment. Thats not all. The Tilt 'N Slide is also designed so that the axle slide cylinder is always closed when the trailer is traveling down the highway. Unlike trailer designs where the axle cylinder is always open, the Elgin Tilt 'N Slide avoids exposing the chrome shafts to the winter ravages of salt and sand. Its axle slide cylinder opens only to move the axles ahead during the loading operation. The Tilt 'N Slides hydraulic dock levelers are independently operated. That makes it easy to load either from ground level or directly from a loading dock. Simple adjustment of the levelers quickly gets things straight when the ground level is uneven near the loading dock. A flexible E-chain encasement protects all wiring harnesses and hydraulic hoses. You dont wind up with a tangle of hoses leading in all directions. No more hoses or lines hanging below the trailer when you head down the highway. The E-chain keeps everything parallel with the bottom side of the deck. No hoses or lines are exposed to getting tangled up when you are backing in or around obstacles. That means easier maintenance and longer life for the hoses. With the standard 10 ton capacity winch, metal storage containers can be loaded easily on to the deck of the Tilt 'N Slide and get on their way to the worksite. For unloading, the deck can be tilted up to 15 degrees, allowing the container to slide off under gravity. Then the trailer can be pulled out from underneath the container.
